For my Loewe television set I've programmed a little Perl command line utility on Linux to nicely list its DR+ recordings. The built-in harddisk can be mounted on Linux to access the information. Alternatively recordings can be copied onto an external harddisk, which then can be connected to a computer to access these.

So far I have been using GNOME on Xorg on my computers, knowing that Wayland still has/had some shortcomings. Upon installing Linux on a new laptop, gnome-shell under Xorg is crashing and the currently only solution seems to be using Wayland. I have found several solutions to overcome the limitations I thought there still would be with Wayland.
